Flint RiverQuarium - Albany is located at 117 Pine Avenue. This public Aquarium primarily promotes conservation of aquatic animals. It organizes aquatic exhibitions and educational programs and offers knowledge about Georgia's aquatic resources through recreational activities. Flint RiverQuarium - Albany opened on Labor Day in the year 2004.
There were several aquariums present in different parts of north America. Yet the need for this aquarium always existed so that the tourists can form an idea about the aquatic resource of Georgia. Awareness about the water resources of Georgia is very much required because of the growing competition between Georgia, Alabama and Florida. The aquarium also offers information about the importance of water and its conservation. It also provides idea about various environmental issues.
The theater of Flint RiverQuarium - Albany offers a whole new experience. The screen is three stories tall and is very wide. Thus the images become larger than life. It also has a 3D effect. The seats are comfortable. Various movies on different aquatic animals are shown here. The "Whales" is the new movie that is offered by this aquarium. Other movies that is shown in the theater include Planet Earth - Freshwater, The Octopus Challenge, Creature Feature Vol. 2 and Wild Weather - Wet. Each of the movies are very informative and engaging. All the movies are between 30 minutes to 50 minutes. Apart from the theater, you can also buy souvenirs and keepsake items from the gift store.
You can also enjoy indoor camping adventure at Flint RiverQuarium. The check in time is 4 pm and the check out time for the campers is 8 am.

The camping program include light cereal for breakfast, pizza dinner, guided tour of the aquarium and live experience of animals. Summer camps are also arranged by the authorities of the aquarium.
Flint RiverQuarium is open on all days except on Christmas or Thanksgiving day. From Mondays to Fridays, this public aquarium is open from 9 am to 5 pm. On Saturdays, it is open from 10 am to 6 pm in the evening. However, on Sundays, the aquarium is open from 1 pm to 5 pm. You can either opt for general admission or you can also become a member of Flint RiverQuarium - Albany. The general admission fees allow you to enter at the RiverQuarium as well as at the Imagination Theater.
Flint RiverQuarium - Albany is primarily constructed for two reasons. First, it is built to boost business and commerce in the downtown of Albany. The second reason is to create public awareness about the aquatic resources of the place.
