The aquarium has achieved the "Qingdao model Scenic Spot' honor as well as "Top Ten Spots in Shandong" award. The aquarium was opened in the year of 1932. At present, the aquarium consists of four main areas on both sides of the street. Both the sides of the water park are connected to each other underneath the street. The visitors are sent inside the tunnel with the help of a moving platform that is another matter of attraction. Located next to the 1st beach, this aquarium is a place from where the tourist can have the opportunity to view the marine world from al the angles. The aquarium remains open daily.
